Marks and Spencer (M&S) are a large retailer based across the UK that is renowned for their sustainability movements and care about the environment, as well as being passionate about the wellbeing and best treatment of their customers.

They have several initiatives in place to reduce their carbon footprint and are constantly evolving to improve further, with water and plastic waste being a huge focus.

In 2019, M&S were looking for a hydration option for their stores that would help them reduce wasted single-use plastic from bottled water for their customers and staff. They wanted the units to look stylish to fit with their famous high-quality brand, whilst also being robust, and we were happy to help.

We held an initial consultation in order to understand their needs before we put forward product recommendations. We then conducted an engineering survey to determine adequate locations for the installation.

  • Touchless sensor activation for a modern, hygienic experience
  • Quick Filling for instant drinking water for their customers
  • Clean fill with minimal splash
  • Auto shut-off to reduce wastage
  • Bottle counter displaying bottles saved from landfill
  • Drain system to eliminate standing water
  • Silver-ion antimicrobial protection on key plastic components to inhibit the growth of mould and mildew.
